What is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine is an approach that focuses on optimal function of the body by promoting efficiency in each organ of the body. Using a personalized approach to understand each patient’s unique needs, this method relies on science-based research and testing to understand the root cause or WHY of each diagnosis.
What is Internal Medicine?
Internal medicine physicians specialize in the treatment of adults within general medicine and have training in subspecialties such as endocrinology, cardiology, infectious diseases among others. Internal Medicine doctors complete an intense three-year residency including inpatient and outpatient. They are patient advocates, helping patients navigate the complex world of medicine in accordance with a patient’s goals and values.
What is Longevity Medicine?
Healthy longevity medicine is an evolving, evidence-based field grounded in geroscience, preventive medicine and lifestyle medicine, with the goal of extending not only lifespan, but healthspan—the years lived in good health and function.
It combines established medical and lifestyle interventions with careful assessment of emerging therapies and technologies that may influence the biology of aging. As the field evolves, a strong foundation in medical science and clinical medicine remains essential to distinguish established evidence from promising new approaches.

About Dr. Nupoor
Why do some people thrive while others develop chronic disease? Can disease be reversed? How can we age better? – These are the questions that have shaped Dr. Nupoor Panchal's career—and continue to inspire her pursuit of a more personalized, proactive approach to health.
Dr. Nupoor Panchal is an American-trained physician, double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, who believes the future of medicine lies not only in treating disease, but in helping people live longer, healthier, and more vibrant lives. She believes the best outcomes come from partnering with patients—helping them understand their health, make informed decisions, and build habits that support lifelong vitality.
Her philosophy of medicine began long before medical school, shaped by a lifelong passion for art. As an artist, she learned to observe carefully, recognize patterns, and appreciate how seemingly small details come together to create something extraordinary. Those same principles continue to shape her approach to medicine, where she believes that exceptional health, much like a work of art, is not created all at once—it is shaped through hundreds of small, intentional decisions over time. This perspective enables her to simplify complex medical problems and translate them into clear, personalized strategies that patients can understand and sustain.
Dr. Panchal earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency in Internal Medicine through Weill Cornell Medical College at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. She later joined Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi during its inception as one of its earliest physician hires and became the institution's first female hospitalist. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, she taught residents and medical students, championed physician leadership initiatives, and helped organize the Middle East's first regional Internal Medicine Update conference. Caring for patients from every walk of life—from critically ill individuals to senior UAE nationals and international dignitaries—reinforced an important realization: exceptional healthcare alone does not prevent chronic disease or ensure healthy aging.
Witnessing the limitations of conventional healthcare, inspired Dr. Panchal to look beyond traditional medicine and pursue advanced training in Functional Medicine and Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine. She later established her own Integrative Internal Medicine practice in Dubai, focused on preventive medicine, advanced diagnostics, hormone optimization, lifestyle interventions, and personalized longevity care. As Lead Clinical Physician at IHLAD, she helps advance the field of longevity medicine through clinical innovation, research, digital health, and the development of concierge programs designed to help people extend not only their lifespan, but their healthspan.
Between college and medical school, Dr. Panchal further pursued her artistic training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and later completed Romana's Classical Pilates Teacher Training, deepening her appreciation for movement as a cornerstone of lifelong health. Whether caring for patients, studying advances in longevity science, or painting in her studio, she remains guided by one simple belief: When we understand the whole person—not just the diagnosis—we create the greatest opportunity for lifelong health.
